Fees for Service: $75 for a 60 minute Initial Assessment including a treatment and detailed home practice program. $ 65 for a 45 minute follow-up session. These sessions are also a great way to prevent health problems and complement a healthy lifestyle! Preventative programs can be tailored to suit the individual! ***New - Group Programs*** I am currently developing two group programs, set to begin in fall 2010 at the Reh-Fit Centre (1390 Taylor Ave., Winnipeg): Participents will require an initial one-on-one physiotherapy assessment to be eligable for these 8 week group yoga classes which are designed to help treat chronic pain. These yoga classes will include pain education, pain managment techniques, exercise in the form of yoga and relaxation training. 1. Yoga for Fibromyalgia and Persistent Pain Syndromes - Wednesdays Sept. 22nd - Nov. 10th 2010 from 10:45am - Noon. Comprised of gentle movement and pain modifying techniques, this program is geared towards people who have been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia or who experience widespread chronic pain. 2. Yoga for Chronic Low Back Pain - Wednesdays Sept. 22nd - Nov. 10th 2010 from 7:00pm-8:15pm. In addition to education and pain modifying techniques, this program will use the art of yoga and the science of exercise physiology to safely strengthen your core and improve hip and spine flexibility. If you feel that you would benefit from one of these programs, please contact me to discuss your options! Even if your shcedule does not allow you to attend during the time slots mentioned above, please feel free to contact me expressing your interest - I am open to creating more time slots for the programs once there are enough participents!
